This week has been very overwhelming and a lot of work but it’s getting close to the end of it. I had school in the park which it when a class of kids come to the Mingei and create an art project with us. This week we did paper making again with the third graders and water marbling. I helped but preparing the materials such as making the paper pulp and the thickened water for the marbling. And at the end of the week the get the make a book with the paper and the book cover with the marbled art work. I’m sad to leave the Mingei but excited to return to school and see my friends. I really don’t expect much to change, I feel like I’ve grown a lot from this experience but I feel like I will use these skills more in the outside world than in school and during learning. By next week I expect everything to be back to normal including my sleeping schedule. Coming back to school I’m not really anticipating anything but I am going to miss the Mingei a lot because I felt like I could share my creativity and thoughts in order to help out there and also working is different departments while experiencing all the parts of the museum.
